Wedding card

awaysforevercard Today’s card is relatively simple. I enjoy playing with lots of pieces of paper and fighting to get things structurally sound. But sometimes it’s nice to go back to basics and just make a card that isn’t very complicated!

The background paper came from Pink Petticoat. The twine and pink mirror card from my crafty hoard. I should probably stop referring to my supplies in such a way, I’m starting to sound rather Smaug-like!

I was able to use the Print & Cut feature of my Silhouette Cameo to make the sentiment. (Doing so makes me happy. Every. Single. Time!)

Very simple card, but I was pleased with the result!

It’s 2013!

Can you believe another year has gone by? It just whizzes past doesn’t it?! Still this means that a new year has begun. I have lots of plans for crafty adventures this year. We’re gearing up to attend our first craft show next month and that’s very exciting! Here’s to a crafty, creative year ahead for us all!

In the meantime, here is a page I made starring my in-laws. The loveliest in-laws you could ask for. 🙂

Jim-and-Suzie-wedding

I’ve not scrapped much lately. Eventually I will run out of pages to blog… this can only mean one thing… it’s time to scrap my heart out. I’m quite looking forward to it! Do you have pictures you’d like help scrapping? Do get in touch, I love a new challenge!

The Hollie series #6

Hopefully you’ve enjoyed this series, we’re ending with two pages that are about Hollie’s wedding. {Side question, how did my baby sister get old enough to have a wedding?!!??!}

This I made for her Facebook page just after the wedding. Isn’t she beautiful?!

I’d love to make a custom Facebook ‘Timeline cover image’ for you too. If you’d like more information check out this post or get in touch here.

Below is a scrapbook page also made just after her wedding. She was told she looked like a movie star on her wedding day and I have to agree!

If you have memories you’d like me to help you turn into scrapbook pages, get in touch – I’d love to hear from you!

Real love stories

Here is another page from my sisters wedding. I’m not usually drawn to orangey colours and this page definitely didn’t start out this way. But I like the finished result! Of course it helps that the bride is fantastically gorgeous 🙂 And I really liked the word-art which I used as the title. I like the idea that the wedding is just the beginning of a deeper love to come… Yes I’m just a hopeless romantic at heart. Don’t tell anyone!!

Do you ever start a page only to find it’s completely different than you’d planned by the time it’s finished? Or do you have a plan and stick to it no matter what? I’d love to hear about your process.

I’m also working on some new templates which I hope to add to the ‘Templates’ page of the blog very soon. Watch this space!

Some wedding related creations

I’ve been promising to show some of the things I made for my sister’s recent wedding, and here they are! Both were made using the Silhouette Cameo.

The names on the top of the seating chart were cut using the Cameo from fairly thick glitter paper, and the machine had no problem with it. The harder part was getting the letters to stick after  cutting them! (Wet glue was the answer!) The table plans at the bottom were made using the Print & Cut feature which is rapidly becoming my go-to method of making anything!

The bears were made at the specific request of the bride – and were also cut using the Cameo. The rest of the guests had their names on hearts or butterflies, which I thought I had a picture of, I will have to dig for one!

I’d just like to mention that I receive nothing from the Silhouette people, I just love their machine!

Some wedding pages…

I had an unexpected free afternoon today so I got down to some scrapping. Which I have missed. What with work, and making things for my sister’s wedding I haven’t had much chance to scrap lately. I intend to share some of the things I made for the wedding, but first things first!

Two of the pages above are from my brother’s wedding which was over  a year ago and I’m just about getting round to scrapping them. Time moves too quickly! One is from my sister’s wedding which was only a few weeks ago so I’m hoping not to get as far behind with this one. She’s due to get the ‘official’ pictures soon so I hope to have lots to share!
