Hot air balloons

hotairballoonsI think the hot air balloons are amongst my favourite things I’ve ever made. They’re just so cute! Every time I spot them in the corner of our living room, they make me smile. I think there should be more smiles everyone’s day!

I love that they could be made for any occasion, in any colour scheme. They’d look lovely in a child’s bedroom or a nursery. But they’d work equally well for a wedding or party. I think I might have to make another set to hang in my office. Maybe a purple set?!!

I’m repeating myself but the file was from svgcuts.com. The paper from American Crafts, Die Cuts with a View and K & Company.

There is a special and unique embellishment on the middle balloon however. My beautiful sister Lucy makes jewellery and she wrote my name (RaRa) in wire. Thanks Lucy, I love it!

Swing!

Another page that makes me smile. I think that’s what scrapbooking is all about. Yes, it’s for preserving memories. However it’s also for remembering fun, happy things. A page doesn’t always have to be about a landmark event, or even for a specific purpose. Photos bring joy even when they’re about a captured moment in time. Here is one of those moments!

What do you think? Should we concentrate on the serious, ‘landmark’ events, or is it ok for scrapbook pages to just be about a single moment in time? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

‘Something special’

Yes, I spent some time with her. Yes this led to another scrapbook page. I can’t help it, she’s my muse. Can you blame me? Just take a look at that face!

I will make a concerted effort to scrap somebody or something else for my next post, I promise! (But I can’t promise to not be drawn back in by this adorable creature at some point!!)

All products from Design House Digital. Inspired by their 4-play blog challenge. {And my muse of course!!}

Life. Live it.

Here is a page with a picture of me. Not a subject I’m particularly fond of focusing on, but I did like this picture! It was taken by the talented East Street Imagery last June in OBX. Amazing to think that was over a year ago now! Really makes me want to go away again…

The digi files all came from Design House Digital, I liked the ‘beachy/distressed’ feel of the main background paper and the rest came from there.

Do you like to include yourself in your scrapbook pages? Please leave a comment and let me know if I’m the only one that prefers to be *behind* the lens!
